New location and a good cause
Following a challenging time for all involved, the grand finale: On 20th October 2017 we finally celebrated the opening of our new company location at Heger-Tor-Wall. The zwei.7 team inaugurated the office building together with the builder Lothar Niederberghaus and dedicated the evening to the work of HelpAge.
“… and suddenly these destinies aren’t abstract anymore, but very close”, reports Karsten Wulf. The topic ‘flight’ has been on his mind for some time. “In Osnabrück I’ve talked to people who had to leave their homeland because of war and come here”, he says. The individual life stories touched him deeply. At the same time, he thought about what happens to the older generation that stays behind. That is when he came across the aid organization HelpAge, which mainly focuses on helping elderly people in developing countries.
That evening there was an exhibition by the aid organization on the premises of galerie w, in which the individual portraits of the project regions were auctioned. “It wasn’t just a great honour for us but also a fitting occasion to present our work to the specially invited audience.”, HelpAge’s managing director Lutz Hethey explains. Thanks to the donation appeal by Mr. Wulf at the opening of the zwei.7 office we were able to collect 10,000 euros for our developmental work.” After the opening the zwei.7 team doubled the total, so that HelpAge was supported with 20,000 euros.
